Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treat

2-Ingredient Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treat, in a popsicle form.

Our little golden child – Bella loves her pumpkin puree. We use it to top her dry kibble from time to time; as a special treat for her. She loves it! Well one thing she doesn’t like is getting her nails trimmed. Now – you’re probably thinking what does a dog treat recipe have to do with trimming my puppy’s nails?? Trust me, I have to bribe my puppy sometimes!!

So what I am suppose to do with a half a can of pureed pumpkin in the fridge?? And my puppy is due for a trim??

Let’s make a special frozen treat for her….

Pumpkin is a fantastic treat for dogs. The high fiber content helps soothe digestive issues plus the rich fatty acids and antioxidants can improve the dog’s coat and overall health.

2-Simple Ingredients:

  • Organic Pumpkin Puree
  • Nonfat Plain Yogurt

This recipe is very forgiving so if you only have 1 cup of pumpkin, use 1 cup of yogurt. Make sure its completely equal parts.

Directions:

  • In a small bowl, add equal parts pumpkin puree and yogurt.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture into any silicone mold and place into a freezer until solid.
  • About 4-5 hours.

I had a ‘popsicle’ mold that I used, but feel free to use whatever you want/have.

Good Girl!
Enjoy – See you in the Kitchen!
